"The Environment Agency faces numerous challenges, from waste problems to the overloaded condition of the Bantargebang landfill. The hope is that under the new leadership, these issues can be mapped out and addressed more effectively," he expressed, Thursday (4/16).
Further, he commented on the appointment of Syafrin Liputo as the Mayor of South Jakarta. He believes the area is highly complex as it serves as a central hub for strategic zones.
"South Jakarta is a key region. Many state leaders and high-ranking officials reside there, so its management requires extra attention," he noted.
One of the issues highlighted was the rampant illegal parking, particularly in the Senopati area. He mentioned, this practice disrupts public order and exacerbates traffic congestion.
"Illegal parking in Senopati that occupies the roadway must be a matter of serious concern," he asserted.
He hopes that Syafrin will be able to coordinate with various parties, including the Transportation Agency, to resolve the issue. Furthermore, he noted that he has a background as the former Head of the Transportation Agency.
"I hope he can orchestrate efforts with the Transportation Agwncy to solve various problems in South Jakarta," he hoped.
Wibi also stressed the need to tackle longstanding problems in the South Jakarta administrative area, including traffic jams and flooding.
At the same time, Jakarta City Council Commission B Member, Dwi Rio Sambodo viewed the Echelon II reshuffle as a way to revitalize the bureaucracy and boost the city government's productivity.
He noted that the inauguration should lead to immediate improvements in public service delivery, across both administrative districts and technical departments like transportation.
"Hopefully, this inauguration will sharpen the focus on performance needs," he concluded.
